Teens who enjoy watching TV and movies and making things with their hands will want to head to the Shore Cultural Centre for EPL’s upcoming events.
TV and movie fans will enjoy our As Seen on TV Book Club. We talk about books that have been turned into movies or TV shows. Stop by the Shore Cultural Ctr. on October 22 at 3:30 pm to talk about “A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning” by Lemony Snicket, both the book and the 2017 TV adaptation available on Netflix. On November 19 at 3:30 pm, we’ll chat about “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins, both the book and the 2012 movie adaptation. Light refreshments will be provided at both sessions.
Crafty teens can learn how to knit a scarf at EPL’s Keep Calm & Carry Yarn Knitting Club. The club is for beginners and experienced adult and teen knitters. We provide free lessons, supplies, beginner-friendly projects, and great conversations. The club meets once month at the Shore Cultural Ctr. The upcoming meetings will be held on October 29, November 12, and December 17 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
EPL also has arts and crafts programs just for teens, they can Get Crafty at the Shore Cultural Ctr. on November 5 at 3:30 pm and December 10 at 3:30 pm. There will be a different craft project at each session.
Teens are also invited to try their hand at the Japanese art of paper folding at our Origami Afternoon event on November 11 at 3:30 pm at the Shore Cultural Ctr. The goal of Origami is to transform a flat square sheet of paper into a finished sculpture (of animals, birds, and objects) through folding and sculpting techniques. This program is for teens, children, and families. For more information about these programs go to: https://www.euclidlibrary.org/libcalendar
