Spoken Word Poetry in Euclid

April is National Poetry Month, if you are curious about slam poetry performances or wish you could be a poet, head to the Shore Cultural Centre for a free event that might leave you waxing poetic.

On April 29 at 6:00 pm you’ll witness the talents of a variety of Greater Cleveland’s talented poets, rappers, and actors performing their original creative writing skills.

The group are members of Sparrow's Fortune, a nonprofit poetry collective that travels across the city sharing their storytelling skills and lively spoken word performances to poetry lovers of all ages.

Sparrow's Fortune was created in 2022 and their goal is to set the bar for poetry in Cleveland and help individuals tap into their creative side by hosting workshops.

Euclid Public Library will bring Sparrow's Fortune to Shore's Landing (room 152) inside the Shore Cultural Center. In addition to watching how they make their eloquent words come alive, adults, families, and teens (accompanied with an adult), will be invited to participate in a mini spoken word workshop after the performance and learn how to write expressive poetry.
