Euclid Public Library Strategic Plan 2017-2020

TECHNOLOGY PURPOSE Euclid Public Library will provide a variety of resources to meet the lifelong learning needs of our citizens. To accomplish our purpose, the Board and staff are committed to: • Providing equal access to information for all • Practicing fiscally responsible management of public resources This Technology Plan responds to our commitment to providing equal access to information for all. The Board and Staff believe that the library is indispensable to the well-being of the community. To support the information needs of our customers, our focus will always be on providing information in the most applicable format. For information that must be current, must be searchable in a variety of ways, or is not available in paper form, we must utilize technology to gain access to this information. When technology is not appropriate, the printed word will be the format choice. 2017 - 2020 ACTION STEPS • Update computer reservation system for patrons • Update meeting room software to allow patrons to reserve meetings online • Promote more online services, such as registration for library cards, programs, and email notification of reserves • Promote Overdrive, Hoopla and other online resources to library patrons • Assess opportunities to update our existing digital collections TECHNOLOGY PLAN Technology in the Euclid Public Library is a vital resource that will be distributed fairly and equally.
