Reading to your child helps increase their vocabulary and this is very important at this age. In the early years of school, almost all learning and instruction is verbal. YOUTH S E R V I CE S Children's Storytimes Now with more storytimes! Many of our storytimes now include age groups to focus on your little one’s specific learning and developmental needs. In many cases, Family Fun, Toddler, and Preschool will have similar elements. There is no registration required for any of our storytimes, but space is limited. Arrive on time to claim your spot. Euclid Public Library and CLEVNET cardholders will now be able to book and check the avail- ability of meeting rooms at EPL any time of day from any computer or mobile device. Users can access the LibCal platform by visiting euclidlibrary.org/meetingrooms and agreeing to the Meeting Room Policy. Room availability will be up-to-date, and the library will notify applicants about their request within a 72-hour window. We will be offering four different programs for the following age groups: birth through Kindergarten , 1st through 5th grades , 6th through 12th grades , and adults . Your participation earns you entries into our grand prize drawings including items like a Kindle Fire, LeapFrog LeapPad for little ones, and more! We will wrap up our Winter Reading program with a Wrap-Up Party and Luau on Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 PM in all of our meeting rooms. You’ll find digitized school yearbooks, videos, oral histories from the 1970s and 1980s, the weekly Euclid Sun Journal Newspapers and original content in the form of local history brochures written by library staff. This winter, view city directories, a handful of yearbooks from Villa Angela Academy and St. Joseph High School, and histories of the library and the city. The Female of the Species with Mindy McGinnis Edgar Award-winning author Mindy McGinnis shares the research that went into writing her acclaimed novel The Female of The Species , as well as the publishing process for the book, which spans nearly 15 years. Teen Health & Wellness: Real Life, Real Answers is a comprehensive database that allows teens (and those who care about teens) to research health-related issues important to their well-being. Teen Health & Wellness provides middle and high school students with nonjudgmental, straight-forward, curricular and self-help support. Topics include diseases, drugs and alcohol, nutrition, mental health, suicide and bullying, and more.
