Euclid Public Library Board of Trustees accepted the completed 2017-2020 Strategic Planning report on April 20, 2021. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Board agreed to adopt this temporary Bridge Plan that would give staff and the public guidance as we continue to adjust to changes due to closings, limited hours, and virtual programs. From January 1 to December 31, 2021, the staff is expected to complete several steps identified in the following Bridge Plan. This is an update on our progress as of December 31, 2021: I. Complete additional Teen Services Training for all staff o Partner with Euclid School District and our other private and charter schools to offer fireside chats for staff to better understand and adapt to the changing needs of our children and parents. II. Transfer to an Online Staff Evaluation Process & Set clear expectations for staff in Performance Evaluation through Paycor (pending) III. Strengthen Library outreach programs to those unable to physically come to the library ○ Meet with Center for Science and Industry (COSI) to discuss program opportunities for older adults. IV. Facilities Assessment o Work with RFC Consulting to select a firm to complete the facilities assessment. o Schedule sessions for the stakeholders/ community to provide input into the facilities assessment. o Share survey link for stakeholders/community members to be able to provide feedback o Results from the facilities assessment, sessions, and survey should be shared with the community 2022 Bridge Plan
2022 Bridge Plan V. Strategic Planning Process (slated to start at the end of 2021) o Work with RFC Consulting and a selected firm to develop the new Euclid Public Library Strategic Plan. Information from the facilities assessment, Western Reserve Historical Society Assessment (Heritage Management), surveys, and stakeholder/community meetings will be used to inform and guide the plan. o As a member of the Government Alliance of Racial Equity, partner with them to include equity, diversity, and inclusion into the Strategic Plan and policies if needed. o Update the Technology Plan to be included in the new Strategic Plan, using above mentioned data to inform the plan.
