Resources to Kickstart the School Year

The Euclid Public Library provides many learning resources for students and families. Below you will find a list of resources to enrich your student's learning experience. Click on the bolded name of the resources to access.

Scholastic Teachables provides teachers, parents, and students with ready-to-go lessons and activities for grades PreK-8 on many different subjects and skill levels. Search by subject and grade level to retrieve learning resources and worksheets at the appropriate skill level. Use from any library computer with no library card required, or on the go by entering your library card number.

Tutor.com employs expert tutors that provide a variety of services for students in grades K-12, plus support for adult learners and job seekers. Resources include one-on-one, on-demand tutoring available 7 days a week from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM; The Princeton Review SAT/ACT Essentials test prep, practice quizzess and flashcards; job search resources, resume review, and more. A library card from Euclid Public Library is required to use this resource. Reference Point Press helps EPL provide patrons with access to quality nonfiction eBooks without the need to enter library card information. No library card? No problem! Nonfiction books include STEM topics, social issues, careers and more for grades 3-12. Patrons without a library card will enter the username euclidlibrary and password books to gain access to this wonderful resource.

With ComicsPlus, readers will have simultaneous, unlimited, 24/7 access to more than 20,000 digital comic books, graphic novels, and manga—curated by age range and genre! Patrons can access ComicsPlus using a desktop or laptop computer or on a mobile device by downloading LibraryPass app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Patrons can still access this resource without a library card. Simply choose login with email and enter euclidcomics when prompted for a registration code to access high quality graphic novels and comics anytime!

hoopla provides patrons with access to many hundreds of thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks, video content, and digital comics. Patrons can checkout 20 instant borrows in a calendar month while they can borrow 20 flex borrows (patrons may be required to place holds on flex borrows) at a time. EPL card required to access.

Libby is a great resource for accessing eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital magazines, and streaming video. With nearly 300,000 items available, there is something for every age group and interest. Access library resources without leaving your home! No wi-fi? No problem! Stop by the library to use our wi-fi to download titles on your phone or tablet and then take your device home to enjoy offline.

Tickle Your Brain is a fun and easy way to introduce a new topic to your students each month. Written by EPL staff, each edition of Tickle informs readers about a topic, provides fun facts, and links to other learning resources for further reading. This is a fun and casual way to engage with your students. New Tickle Your Brain articles post around the first of each month and past articles can be accessed using the directory on the left side of the page.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Ohio mails kids one book each month until their 5th birthday. All kids in Ohio are eligible and this program is available at no cost to families.
