America's First Road Trip

On May 23, 1903, Dr. Horatio Jackson set off in his Winton car for America's first cross-country road trip. At the time there were only 150 miles of paved roads in the entire country. There were no gas stations and virtually no road maps as we know them today. Most people doubted that the automobile even had much of a future. Horatio's drive would prove them wrong. Join us for a bumpy ride, through streams, buffalo wallows, and rocky mountain paths for an unforgettable experience crossing the nation's vast landscape. (100 min)
