Becoming a Family History Detective

This program is all about investigation. Many times, clues to our family's history are right in front of us - an old picture of a strange person hanging on the wall, or a piece of jewelry that mom wears, for example. Today we're going to show you how to recognize and obtain information from records and artifacts. You well be amazed at the family history you'll learn by asking questions about things in your family's houses.

Teen Media and Influence Workshop

What is Media?

How do you get the news? How do you find out what is going on in the world? Where do you find the latest gossip? Today we are going to help you define "media" and explore its different forms and purposes, with Professor John Kerezy from Tri-C. Our goal is to empower you to be able to use a variety of media sources for entertainment and education.

Registration is required, and can be done through Eventbrite (online or app), or at the Children's or Teen desks.
