Project Runway: Skeleton Edition

Grades 4-8

This Halloween, miniature skeletons come to life to walk the catwalk in fashions created by you! Prizes will be awarded for the truly ghoulish, the most outlandish, and for the most fashion-forward creatures of the night. Come prepared for a thrilling and bone-chilling evening – if you dare!

Registration begins October 16.

What Color Are Your Eyes? Meet the Author and Illustrator

All Ages

 

The book, Brown Eyes, Blue Eyes is a fictionalized account of a lesson led by teacher Jane Elliott in her classroom in Riceville, Iowa in 1968 to teach her class about the importance of the Civil Rights Movement. At this interactive Meet the Author event, author Judi Cunningham will read this compelling story while illustrator Rozenia Cunningham will lead children in making a craft related to the book.

Registration begins October 3.

It's Arty Time!

Grades 4-6

 

Create your work of art on canvas inspired by a famous painter. We’ll provide everything you need to create your masterpiece. Wear an old t-shirt that you don’t mind getting dirty!
