  9. Morning Book Discussion - Line by Line

    Monday, January 23, 2012

How exciting that today we will host the award-winning author, Barbara Hatcha, to discuss her book Line By Line!

It isn't often that we have an author join us for the monthly book discussions, so we hope to have lots of readers come with interesting questions! Line by Line is a story that takes place during the Great Depression. Ms. Hatcha wrote this book with intimate detail in order for us to gain a better understanding of what people went through during this terrible time in our country's history.

Through the eyes of her main character, Maddy, Ms. Hatcha shows us what it is to survive hunger, hardship and violence. The book explores themes that resonate in today's world and shows the importance of surrounding ourselves with the people who matter most.

Copies of the books for our discussions are available the month before the event. If you'd like to read some of the glowing reviews for Line by Line, take a look at www.goodreads.com. We hope you'll join us!
