Teens will work in teams* of up to four members to decorate six of the library's ugliest book carts in a manner in keeping with our Summer Reading theme. The library will supply the paint and brushes.

 We will bedazzle the carts over the course of the Summer Reading Program each Wednesday beginning June 16 through July 21. The July 14 and 21 dates are reserved for the application of clear, protective coats. All work will take place outside in order to keep our library hospitable to patrons who may be sensitive to smells.

 All carts must be completed by Wednesday, July 21 to allow one week for the public and staff to vote on the best book cart! The winning team will receive a $50 gift certificate to PAt Catans. It will be up to the wining group to decide how the $50 prize is distributed among its members.

 On Wednesday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. the winning Bedazzled Book Cart will be announced and the prize awarded. Everyone who participates will be treated to a pizza party!

*Teams must register their member's names for this program by Friday, June 11. This program is limited to six teams.
