Things you can do every day:
Talk to your child and listen when he/she talks to you.
Answer questions as completely as possible.
Name, label and point out letters, numbers, shapes and colors.
Encourage your child to be independent even if it takes a little longer to get ready.
Read together every day.
Limit the amount of time your child watches TV or plays video/computer games.
